TUSKA 2025 – Metal im Herzen Helsinkis

Was gibt es Schöneres als einen Festival-Urlaub – vielleicht im hohen Norden? Denn in der finnischen Hauptstadt Helsinki findet vom 27. bis 29. Juni das TUSKA, Finnlands größtes Metalfestival, statt. Der Veranstaltungsort Suvilahti liegt nahezu im Herzen Helsinkis, direkt am Redi-Einkaufszentrum, in welchem auch die Bändchenausgabe stattfindet, und bietet für ca 60 000 Besucher*innen ein dreitägiges Programm mit über 60 Acts.

Viele der Bands kommen aus Finnland oder den nordischen Nachbarländern, jedoch hat das TUSKA-Festival auch in diesem Jahr wieder einige internationale Größen für sich gewinnen können. So sind die Headliner-Slots besetzt durch IN FLAMES, ELECTRIC CALLBOY, POWERWOLF, SLAUGHTER TO PREVAIL, LORNA SHORE und MOTIONLESS IN WHITE, doch auch andere große Namen wie CRADLE OF FILTH, DRAGONFORCE oder APOCALYPTICA finden sich im Line-Up.

Vier Bühnen werden bespielt, die kleinste davon in kuscheliger Club-Atmosphäre. Stilistisch ist für alle Geschmäcker etwas dabei, sei es Death-, Power- oder Industrial Metal, Metal- oder Deathcore. Wer eine Pause vom Haare schütteln braucht, kann die strapazierten Muskeln zudem in der Festivalsauna entspannen. Außerdem gibt es On-Site eine Body Art Area, in der nicht nur diverse Tattoo und Piercing Artists ihren Service anbieten, sondern auch Hook Suspension, Shibari und Massagen angeboten werden.

Aufgrund seiner zentralen Lage mitten in der finnischen Hauptstadt bietet das TUSKA-Festival keinen eigenen Campingplatz an. Neben Hotels, Hostels und privaten Unterkünften steht für Camper auch der Rastila Camping Ground der Stadt Helsinki zur Verfügung, der neben Stellplätzen für Zelt und Caravan auch Cottages für Gruppen von 4-8 Personen bietet. Der Campingplatz befindet sich in unmittelbarer Nähe einer Metro-Station.

Wichtig zu beachten: Besucher*innen des TUSKAFestivals müssen mindestens 18 Jahre alt sein. Für Kinder im Alter von 0-12 Jahren gibt es am Sonntag von 14-18 Uhr im Rahmen des TINY TUSKA Zugang zum Festivalgelände, sofern sie in Begleitung eines Erwachsenen mit gültigem Ticket sind.

Das 3-Tages-Ticket kostet 239 €.
2-Tages-Tickets, die frei kombinierbar sind, gibt es ab 209 €.
Tagestickets kosten 149 €.

Es gibt außerdem VIP-Tickets für 3 Tage (389 €) und VIP-Tagestickets (229 €).

What’s better than a festival vacation – maybe up in the high north? From 27^th to 29^th June, the Finnish capital Helsinki hosts TUSKA, Finland’s biggest metal festival. The festival ground Suvilahti is located almost in the heart of Helsinki, right next to the Redi shopping mall, where you will also get your festival wristband. It offers a 3-day program with over 60 acts for about 60 000 visitors.

Many of the bands playing there are from Finland or its Nordic neighbours, yet, TUSKA managed to snatch some big international names. The headline spots this year are taken by IN FLAMES, ELECTRIC CALLBOY, POWERWOLF, SLAUGHTER TO PREVAIL, LORNA SHORE and MOTIONLESS IN WHITE, but you can also find big names like CRADLE OF FILTH, DRAGONFORCE or APOCALYPTICA in the line-up.

There are four stages. The smallest one offers a cozy club atmosphere. Style-wise, all tastes will be met, no matter if you’re into Death, Power or Industrial Metal, Metalcore or Deathcore. If you need a break from headbanging and shaking your hair, the on-site festival sauna offers a place to relax your strained muscles. Furthermore, there’s a Body Art area, where not only tattoo and piercing artists offer their services, but you even find offers of Hook Suspension, Shibari or a massage service this year.

As the festival ground is located quite in the centre of the Finnish capital, TUSKA does not have its own camp site. Besides hotels, hostels or private accommodation you can also book a spot at Rastila Camping, which is a camp ground operated by the city of Helsinki. They offer space for tents or caravans, but also have a number of cottages for groups of 4-8 people. Rastila Camping is located right next to a metro station.

Please keep in mind: TUSKA is a K18 festival, so you need to be at least 18 years old to visit. But there’s also an offer for families called TINY TUSKA: on Sunday, children aged 0-12 can enter the festival area between 14:00 to 18:00 if accompanied by a paying adult.  

A 3-day ticket is 239 €.
